David Goyer and "The Flash"

David Goyer has signed on to bring "The Flash" to the big screen. Rumor has it that Ryan Reynolds ,fresh off of working together with Goyer on Blade:Trinity, had been picked to be Wally West.

Now with Goyer working on "The Flash" what dose that mean for "Batman Begins"?

We all know that Batman Begins will be one of top money makers of 2005 and Warner Bros. will be looking for sequels, will "The Flash" interfere with Govyer writing the next Batman movie? Only time will tell.

DC Comics hero next in line for H'wood makeover

David Goyer has given new meaning to the words "back in a flash."
After collaborating with Warner Bros. on its upcoming "Batman Begins" pic, Goyer is mining the vaults of DC Comics once again.

Goyer has committed to write, produce and direct a feature adaptation of the story of DC Comics hero the Flash for Warner Bros. Pictures.

Pic is still in development and is the first to be identified under Goyer's recently inked overall production pact with the studio.

Created by Gardner Fox and Harry Lampert, the Flash first appeared in DC Comics late in 1939. He's the alter ego of chemistry student Jason Peter "Jay" Garrick, an aspiring athlete whose exposure to heavy water fumes gives him the ability to move at incredible speeds.

" 'Flash' is my favorite of the properties," said Goyer, speaking of the DC Comics stable. "I think the character of the Flash, who moves faster than the speed of light, opens itself up to rich cinematic and story ideas."

Goyer most recently wrote, directed and produced New Line Cinema's "Blade: Trinity," which Warner Bros. execexec VP of production Lynn Harris also produced after ankling.

Harris -- who praised Goyer's "tremendous credibility with (the DC) fan base" -- will now oversee development on "The Flash" at Warners.
