Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man & Friends

Articulation
The articulation on these figures is limited, but works really well for being a kids' line. They're a lot of fun, and move just enough for sandbox or pool fights.
Hips - cut-joint
Shoulders - cut-joint
Elbows - cut-joint
Forearm - cut-joint
Neck - cut-joint
Tentacles - attached to backpack, but are bendy
Sculpt
I love the sculpts on these. They're very "kiddish", with the over-sized feet and hands, but for what they are, they're really neat-looking. Doctor Octopus is actually one of the most detailed of the line so far. They've given him molded-on goggles, and a costume reminiscent of the one he wore on the '90s Spider-Man cartoon. There's lots of folds and pads on the costume.
Paint
The paint is really well done on this figure. There are several different colored pads, stripes, gloves, etc. and they all have nice, tight paint. There's no slop anywhere on the figure, and all the details are right where they should be.

Accessories/Action Feature
I decided to run these two together, because with this line, the feature is usually attached to or a part of the accessory. For Doc Ock, the action feature is incorporated into the tentacles. All four are attached to a removeable backpack, and are made of soft rubber with a wire in them.
They're pretty poseable, and are best when not being used as the feature suggests. The "action feature" is also built into the backpack. The tantacles are built to to spin when a wind-up knob is twisted and released. THe problem is that the tantacles basically have to be pointing straight out from the pack, or else they hit the figure, or stick.
Overall
I never really know how to rate these guys. They're really made for little kids, but they're great for those of us who can't get enough of our favorite characters. They're all very sturdy, and make for great kids toys, but they all look so cool on the shelf at my place. I've gotta give Doc Ock a solid 7 out of 10. I really like these little guys.
