Summary:
This issue opens with conversation about the feed; colossus explains that Tunguska is the outback of Russia. He doesn’t believe that this is anything big, and that maybe a local cunning man made the tape.
Xavier strongly disagrees, talking about the emotions of distress he was getting from his visions, and he pleads with the three to please save this man.
Meanwhile S.H.I.E.L.D. is already on their way there, Sam Wilson has suited up as the falcon and flies along with helicopters and actually lands inside one. The helicopter lands inside a bigger air unit, a full-page shot of S.H.I.E.L.D. High speed Helicruiser 23.
Elsewhere the X jet races through the sky, Jean grey Wolverine and Colossus are all inside the ship and jean asks colossus if he’s ever been to Tunguska.
Peter replies he hasn’t, because it’s like the outback and its strange ground. Jean further asks him what he means and colossus tells them that something exploded there over a hundred years ago. Nobody knows what it was but for months afterward there was an aurora borealis over half of the earth at night.
Wolverine claims that they aren’t the only ones that could figure this out, and that there’s no way they’re not the only ones that will be taking a trip to the countryside.
Next the reader sees Sam Wilson being led to Nick fury, who’s at the command center of this helicruiser 23, along with captain America. Sam meets cap for the first time and they give each other a nod.
Fury fills Sam in on the situation and the broadcast and its effects, he complains about having to call people by their hero names. Fury reveals he thinks these images are being projected by medicine men below them, some form of afterlife commands.
He also makes a point of thinking that there are hallucinations in the jungle naturally there for human usage; Sam doesn’t believe him. Cap tells Sam to just call him Steve.
Bits of the images are shown again, much more brief than in the first issue.
Back at the helicruiser, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents have pinpointed the projections origin. It’s broadcasting from inside an Old Russian facility buried twenty meters under another complex.
Fury immediately takes action and tells everyone to suit up; they’re going down there.
Meanwhile the x jet has just about made it to the origin spot and see an old bunker, where jean senses the emotions are coming from.
Capitan America, Black Widow, Falcon and Nick Fury have all landed in the tunguskan valley armed to the teeth and ready for action. They arrive at the bunker and Falcon overrides the locking system allowing them entry.
From the opposite side of the facility, jean blows open the door using her psychic powers, a bit of the phoenix power revealing itself. The three enter, unaware of fury and his team on the other side.
End Issue.

My Rating: 7 out of 10
My opinion: Issue 2 was a lot more toned down than issue 1, the darkness is ever present but things are moving along smoothly, and the fact that neither team knows the other is there is really starting to tweak my interest. The reader can also tell that the mental images are starting to wear on jean. All in all another great issue.
Well that’s all from me, hope you all enjoyed my review. Thanks.
