Summary:

Nick fury and his small squadron consisting of Captain America The Falcon and Black widow have successfully entered a Russian bunker in the outback of tunguska. One of the first things that they find is an engraving on a nearby wall that reads 1927, they question whether this bunker was built then or if it means something else.

Cap and Widow are bothered by the date, they don’t understand why it was built and not used for war purposes. They find some old papers indicating that in 1994 the Russians that were working in the facility locked up and left. They quickly continue moving.

In the next few panels they smell something strange which is revealed to be old droppings.

It cuts back to Jean Grey Wolverine and Colossus, who have also entered the complex from another side. Jean complains about having no light, because these hallways are pitch black. Wolverine claims he an see fine.

They find a stick of wood, and using his claws wolverine scrapes at the floor with the wood pressed to the ground igniting it. Once lighting the room they find several skulls and bones litter the floor.

Cut back to Captain America and the others walking through the tunnels. They stop, seeing a man crouched in a corner barefooted. His hair is long and his features hidden. He chuckles to himself.

Cap tells the man to stand up, and for everyone to stay calm. The man continues to chuckle. The chuckle turns into laughter and cap demands the man put his hands on his head or he’ll shoot. Widow says there’s something on his head.

In the next few panels its revealed a horn is emerging from this mans forehead, and electricity begins to charge up. The electricity releases and captain America blocks with his shield, but its not helping any. Fury and Widow begin to shoot at the man.

The shots aren’t having any effect, and so Sam triggers a button on his belt, his wings emerge. Sam slices this man’s stomach, and he drops to the ground in a heap. Again, fury and Natasha use their guns hoping to kill the man.

It appears he is dead.

Sam declares he has just enough tools on him to do an autopsy, and he plans to find out what this man or creature is. The autopsy begins and Sam informs the others this horn has been bolted on this mans head. The skin has grown back over the horn. They want to bring him up for further examination but As Nick fury is about to contact his crew, he realizes his radio is out.

Back with the three members of the X-men, they’ve found a dead end, and it appears that the complex has been collapsing on itself over time. Jean gives the go ahead, and wolverine slices at the rubble. To his surprise the claw has no effect over the metal and a large being stands up. It Grabs Logan by the shirt and throws him back at his comrades.

Colossus steps’ up, hammering the large metal being around, but begins to lose the fight. As the huge being hits colossus the floor gives way, all of the skulls following them down into the darkness. When they finally land, they’re in a pile of bones and surrounded by longhaired beings.

End issue.

Best Page: Final Page with Jean Wolverine and colossus in a pile surrounded by creatures.

My Rating: 7 out of 10

My opinion: Issue 3 continues to draw my attention, with the findings of these creatures I really don’t know what to expect next. I had an idea what this was going to be but it’s changed now. I’m really excited to see next issue. Awesome read.

Well that’s all from me, hope you all enjoyed my review. Thanks.
