Monogram Teen Titans Paper Weight – Robin

Monogram Direct will begin releasing the first in a series of Teen Titans paperweights this April. The team leader Robin is up first.

Packaging

Robin comes in a full color see through package that will look great hanging on a peg in the stores or on a shelf in your house, but with a piece like this, you really should open it up to enjoy. Robin comes double packed with two layers of plastic to keep it safe during shipping; you can also use the secondary packing for storage once you open him up.

Sculpt

Robin is posed for action holding his favorite weapon from the show, his staff. The face is a close likeness to the show. The base is molded to connect to the other members of the team and comes with a Robin nameplate on the front and letters on the back that when connected with the other titans will spell out “Teen Titans”. Robin is 4.5 inches tall and weighs 7.5 ounces.

Paint

For a pre-production sample piece the paint was not a true resemblance of what the “real” piece will look like, but the color scheme is perfectly in sync with the cartoon show.

Accessories

The staff is removable on Robin, so we will call it an accessory.

The Verdict

Recommend - If you are looking for a low cost alterative to DC Direct mini busts, you have found it. You can pick up the whole set of these for the cost of one of them.
