Teen Titans Paperweight Reviews

480Group.JPG

Monogram Direct will begin releasing the first in a series of Teen Titans paperweights this April. Robin, Cyborg, Starfire, Raven and Beast Boy will be begin shipping to comic book specialty stores. Each sold separately.

Packaging

Each one comes in a full color see through package that will look great hanging on a peg in the stores or on a shelf in your house, but with pieces like this, you really should open it up to enjoy them.

Sculpt

The base is molded to connect to the other members of the team and each piece comes with a nameplate on the front and letters on the back that when connected with the other titans it will spell out “Teen Titans”. Cyborg is one of the largest pieces in this line, measuring 5 inches tall and weighing in at 13 ounces.

The average size of the other team members is 4.5 inches tall; take a look at the size breakdown of each piece.

Robin - 4.5 inches 7.5 ounces
Cyborg – 5 inches 13 ounces
Starfire – 4.5 inches 9 ounces
Raven – 5.5 inches 8.5 ounces
Beast Boy - 4.5 inches 6 ounces

Paint

The color scheme matches that of the animated show. The paint dose run over into other areas at times in small places, if you really look for it you can see it. If you are looking for a display item to sit on a shelf that people will not be handling everyday this paint scheme is more adequate for the price you will pay for it.

The Verdict

Recommend - If you are looking for a low cost alterative to the DC Direct mini busts, you have found it. You can pick up the whole set of these for the cost of one of them. As of this review the best place to find these is at your local comic book store, through the Previews catalog, or you can also check out WickedCoolToys.com. Monogram Direct is working on getting these sold at Media Play, as soon as we have more information we will be sure to pass it on.
