Take a Closer Look at Battle Gear Batman

Battle Gear Batman is the closest figure released to date that resembles the colors of the suit that will be used in the upcoming Batman Begins movie that is due in theaters June 17. This figure has 10 points of articulation and comes with a nice looking cloth cape that we have become accustomed to seeing on the Mattel Batman figures.

The best thing about this Batman (to me anyway) are the accessories that he comes with, you get a Wayne Enterprises large metal briefcase that comes with night vision goggles, fold up batarang and a spring loaded grappling gun.

The details on this figure are some of the best I’ve seen done by Mattel’s in house sculptors. Take a look at the back of the suit and the utility belt; small details like this are what impresses me the most. Someone took the time to make sure that even a part of the suit that will be covered by the cape 99% of the time looks good.

We will see one maybe even two more movie accurate figures in the coming months as the movies release draws closer, in the meantime Battle Gear Batman should be fairly easy to find in stores now.
