To help aid those affected by the recent bout of devastating hurricanes, Toy Shop magazine is conducting a two-week charity auction. The benefit, currently underway at Charity Folks (www.charityfolks.com), offers collectors a slew of rare and unique collectibles donated by many manufacturers in the toy industry.
"We hope collectors will open their hearts when bidding on these lots," commented Tom Bartsch, Editor for Toy Shop. "We're billing this as a unique toy auction, and I truly think it is. We have signed product, one-of-a-kind prototypes and artists proofs. It's truly a collector's dream."
Best of all, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross, specifically for Hurricane Katrina victims.
"This is just a small part in which all of us can help, while also acquiring some really cool toys."
Toy Shop's Hurricane Relief Auction will run from September 27 to October 11, 6 pm EST.
