The classic Superman TV series, Adventures of Superman, returns to DVD in this brand new 5 disc set from Warner Home Video. Due in stores January 17, 2006 this boxset will have run time of 683 mintues and carries a $39.98 price tag.
The original smash hit from the 1950’s was the first TV series featuring the beloved DC Comics superhero, helping mold the iconic character that still exists today. Adventures of Superman: The Complete Second Season is a 5- disc collector’s set featuring all 26 episodes in addition to commentaries and a never-before-seen documentary on the return of Noel Neill as Lois Lane.

George Reeves returns to DVD as the steel-bending, building leaping and sometimes glasses wearing super hero in this exciting 26 episode set. Noel Neill also joins the series as Lois Lane, the Daily Planet reporter who sometimes suspects that maybe, just maybe, Clark Kent is not who he says he is.
Superman,the brainchild of writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster, following years of rejections as a syndicated comic strip, made his debut in comic books in 1938 and was an overnight success. From that point on, the story of Superman’s fantastic life has been a fixture in American society and continues to live on to this day in print, television and motion pictures including the upcoming theatrical release “Superman Returns” starring Kate Bosworth and Brandon Routh set to debut in Summer 2006.
