Today it is the day for He-Man fans to hit stores and pick up the new He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Season 1 Part 1 DVD box set. It is packed full of great stuff, new documentary features ,2 new original art cards and more.
I'm a big fan of DVD box set artwork and this set is one of the best I've seen in a long time. It is worth every penny, even if you are not a hardcore He-Man fan but a fan of 80's cartoons you should pick it up for the in depth documentaries.

This is just the beginning of what it set to be a big He-Man DVD presence in the coming months.
The He-Man and She-Ra Christmas special is due to be released on December
6th. This will be the only She-Ra DVD currenly available (when it comes
out). It's a 2-DVD set with 2 new documentary features and 2 new original
Art Cards, plus a whole bunch of additional special features.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe - Season 1, Part 2 is set to be
released in January 2006. This 6-DVD set will contain 32 episodes
(#34-65), 2 new documentary features, 2 new original Art Cards, and a whole
bunch of additional special features, including Character Profiles, Scripts,
Storyboards, and more!
The spine art for the Season Sets will combine to create an image, which
increases the collectible aspect of the DVD sets.
The New Adventures of He-Man is anticipated to be released on DVD in 2006.
This will contain 2 volumes with 65 episodes.
Mattel owns and controls the rights to the He-Man 2002 series but BCI hopes
to be involved in this release also, although no plans have been solidified.
