The Mego Museum Re-opens

superman_art_yellow.jpg The Mego Museum, the world’s leading online authority on action figures produced by the long-defunct Mego toys corporation, unveiled today the beginning of a a complete redesign that will eventually encompass the entire website.

The new Mego Museum features an innovative new look and feel, featuring newly designed galleries by the site’s original creator, Scott C. Adams.

Among the galleries are rare prototypes, in depth interviews with Mego
staff and the newest addition, the newly discovered 8” World’s Greatest Superhero from South Africa, Jet Jungle!

“We’re really excited about the new discovery and about the Museum’s new look,” said Brian Heiler, the Museum’s virtual curator. “It just proves that Mego collecting is alive and well.”

The Mego Museum was created by Scott C. Adams in 1996, and quickly became an internet “meeting point” for Mego collectors. Its forums now boast the largest membership of Mego collectors available.

Mego enthusiasts now meet annually at “Megomeet,” a one-day convention featuring speakers, collection displays, and a dealer room. The convention is held in Wheeling, West Virginia each June, and attracts attendees from all over the country.
