Superhero Times: a service of Action Online
MGA Entertainment announced that they have picked up a license from Marvel that grants them rights to the Marvel Super Hero universe that features more than 5,000 characters, including Spider-Man, X-Men, The Fantastic Four and Captain America, for the die-cast and toy vehicle category. The agreement covers the classic comic book look of the characters along with the upcoming Marvel-inspired films, including "Ghost Rider" and "Spider-Man 3" plus the new Marvel pre-school property.
Through the agreement, MGA will develop a range of products, including personality- and movie-based die-cast cars and remote control vehicles. Initial products in the RC category will begin hitting retail immediately.
