X-Men: The Last Stand hit theaters this past Friday and over the holiday weekend it went on to become the highest ever grossing holiday film release with a $103,125,000 million dollar box office total beating the previous three-day high of $72 million, set by "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" in 1997.
On the all-time list, "X-Men: The Last Stand" ranks behind only "Spider-Man,"($114,844,116) "Star Wars: Episode III"($108,435,841) and "Shrek 2"($108,037,878) for opening weekend gross.
Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Monday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Exhibitor Relations.
