Superman Returns Countdown Day 24

My Size Superman Returns 30 Inch Walmart Exclusive
Review by Tim "legendsofbatman"
Articulation: 5/10
None of the My Size figures have much articulation. This is no exception, except, that it seems to have gone backwards, in comparison to Batman, and The Thing. Although, considering the picture on the Walmart website, it's a huge improvement.
Paint: 9/10
Incredibly as it may seem, this has a pretty decent paint job. I particularly like the texture to this figure. The figure's paint is rather even.
Detail/Sculpt: 6/10
Mattel does not do awesome detail. They started to, but somewhere along the line, they gave up. There's not a lot of detail, but, there is some.
Accessories: None
Walmart.com claims there is a base. The website shows a base. But, I sure as heck dont see a base.
Value: 7/10
It's a giant rotocast figure. It's $30, which translates to $1 an inch. Not bad, not great. But, compare this giant Superman to the puny, underwhelming 10 inch version, this by far surpasses the puny girly superman at $10. (Imagine buying three of the little superboy rotocasts, and you've spent the same money, and still don't have the behemoth (in real estate) this does).
Overall: 7/10
If size matters, this is the Superman Returns item to get. It's not great, it's not bad, which, for Mattel, makes it good. Compared to the so-called 10 inch rotocast, this is well worth the money.
This is the 4th "My Size" figure in three years. As such, this goes in either the My Size category, or, the Superman category. (Isn't it nice to have choices?)
Recommendation: If you must buy something from the Superman Returns line of toys, might I recommend this one?
