SDCC 06 - Hasbro/Marvel Panel

Today during the first ever Hasbro/Marvel panel Jesse Falcon joined the new Marvel Brand managers from Hasbro to sit down and talk about the future of Marvel Legends among other things.

To kick it off we were shown images of the new Hasbro line up that consisted mostly of things that were on display, Spider-Man Origins, Signature Series, Marvel Heroes and the Superhero Squad. We then moved on to the Q&A were Jesse made a huge Marvel Legends announcement, Hasbro has contracted past Toy Biz artists and sculptor's to work on Marvel Legends line for them.

Among some the Q&A highlights were that Marvel Legends will stay at the 6" scale along with continuing to come with build a figures, Hasbro has re-designed the packaging that will no longer include a copy of a Marvel comic book.

While Marvel Legends is aimed towards the adult collector Hasbro has plans to release a Marvel Heroes series of figures for kids that will consist of the top 12 Marvel characters such as Wolverine and Iron Man among others and for the youngsters in your house, no better way to introduce them to Marvel then threw the new Superhero Squad line up.

Marvel fans can now start to feel better about Hasbro taking over, Jesse Falcon is working hand and hand with them to continue to make Marvel toys the best that they can be.
