Our forums member "legendsofbatman" was also on hand during San Diego Comic Con. Check out his list of Comic Con 2006 Winners and Losers.
I want to kick off the Post Comic Con wrap-up with what I am hoping will be of interest to you. I wanted to bring to you the honorable (and of course, dishonorable) mentions, in various categories. Keep in mind, these are my personal opinions; others will agree or disagree. But, this summary is based on my opinion of the event.
1. Most pleasant interview: Jesse Leon McCann. Authors adaptations for movies, TV, and other books, many for Scholastic.
2. Least pleasant interview: DC Direct. They don't take criticism well; but, they love the well deserved praise.
3. Biggest Load of Bunk: Mattel. Mattel reps in a Q&A session attempted to explain why the Superman from the DC Superhero line did not come with a base. Their feeble attempt was "It was too big to fit in the package".
4. Coolest incidental meeting: Sam Greenwell. Really great guy, and was very cool, posing for me while pointing out the Thrillkill Batgirl, on display.

5. Best Give-away: Master Replica. Given away at the Collector Society Party: 2 Mini Star Wars Collector Plates. 2 Pirates of the Carribean collectible toys. 1:1 Collector Sketch Card, autographed. 1 Limited edition (82/250) Star Wars Photograph. 1 Comic, Marvel Must Haves, featuring issues 114-116 of the New XMen. 1 Darth Vader Checkbook cover.
6. Best Party Award: Master replica also wins for the Best Party! (Excellent food; great prizes, even though I didn't win oh well).
7. Biggest Oops: Monogram. Limited Edition Red Tornado Paperweight Exclusive. According to an official rep, they didn't expect them to turn out so well, and did them in a number divisible by 12. 96 won. Therefore, only 96 were made.
8. Best Value Booth: Monogram. Even with the Red Tornado selling for $30; there were many items $20 and under. Many quality items.
9. Most "Wish I were Rich" item: Master Replica and the $2200 Millenium Falcon! (Dang; and I thought the $1400 At-At was too expensive to buy.
10. Most Exciting Releases: Tie: Hasbro for the new Marvel Licensed figures. Sideshow for the Jabba The Hutt 12" Scale set.
11. Best Booth:
Runner-up: Gentle Giant. What can you say about a company that displays two life-size Yoda's in one booth?
Winner: SideShow. Great job, SideShow. Your booth was so cool; life sized busts, it looked like a museum, and, yet was fun, with web cams, for those unable to attend.
Honorable Mentions:
Coolest Prop: Hasbro with the Ghost Rider Movie Cycle prop.
Scariest (and funniest) Costume (Uhm, words cannot express. Just see for yourself as Travis gladly announces Snow White was not the winner).

She err he swears he's married to a woman.
