Update - DC Direct delays all DC Minimates orders

UPDATE: Art Asylum has replied to this situation stating:

"Due to production issues, we had to delay the line. DC Direct is resoliciting and will inform everyone of the new in-store dates soon. We're sorry AA did not provide details sooner but DC was preparing their own press release.

In turn, we could not submit any information until this news was officially launched by them first. This line is not canceled, they are still being distributed at a later date than DC Direct originally planned to ensure quality is at a level the Minimates brand deserves and you have come to enjoy."

After showing us prototypes of these fantastic looking DC Minimates at San Diego Comic Con, DC Direct has announced that they have canceled the orders for all 3 waves of figures due to productions delays.

So does this mean that we will never see these be released? DC Direct has said waves 1 -3 will be re-solicited at a later date, which means we now wait and see.
