New Toy Store Caters To 'Refined Tastes'

Just over three months ago, recent UPENN Masters graduate Daniel Guerrero began looking into ways that he could make a business from his passion - collectible toys. From his own experience with buying and selling toys, he felt he wanted to cater to the collector with “refined tastes.”

He started StatueToys.com in order to help people meet their needs for high-quality collectible toys in a suitable environment for collectors. Daniel says, “I think of my products more as art than toys. When I see a Bowen statue or a Factory X prop, I’m reminded of a great movie or a great comic. I think ‘That’s not a toy. That’s a great memory that I want to relive as much as possible.' I want other people to have that experience from the time they start to shop until delivery!”

With the whole shopping experience in mind, Daniel has developed a vast catalog of product that is both descriptive and visually easy to find.

“I’m really proud of my selection so far, firstly because I feel that most of my collectibles’ characters represent our modern myths and fantasies, which is something that we need these days. Secondly, I like being surrounded by all these toys, by all this art.”
