Due to some scheduling conflicts, Master Replicas is sorry to report that a second Marvel product slated for release in 2007 has been placed temporarily on hold.
The Spider-Man Comic Book Mask Replica will be removed from the schedule, until 2008. However, unlike the Spider-Man Character Statuette – which was re-scheduled due to rising costs – the Spider-Man Comic Book Mask Replica was moved for another reason entirely.
“Marvel, not surprisingly, is very focused on Spider-Man 3 in 2007,” commented Master Replicas’ Creative Director, Kevin Eslinger, “And so we’re moving the Comic Book Mask Replica to 2008, so that we can focus on Movie Related Masks [and other replicas] for 2007. Ultimately, we don’t want to over-saturate the market, and to compete with ourselves.”
Stay tuned for details, both on the re-scheduling of the Comic Book Mask, and the announcement and official unveiling of the Spider-Man 3 Movie Mask Replica, which will be available for pre-order sometime within the next few months.
As of today, all pre-orders for the Spider-Man Comic Book Mask Replica have been cancelled.
