Holmes Out.. Gyllenhaal In for "The Dark Knight"

Several sources have confirmed that Maggie Gyllenhaal will be replacing Katie Holmes in "The Dark Kinght", which is the follow up film to the 2006 summer blockbuster "Batman Begins", Holmes was considered to be the main weak point of movie by many Batman fans, when talk about the sequel first begin Bat Fans across the net were talking about how they would have liked to she her character be killed off by The Joker (played by Heath Ledger) in the opening scenes of "The Dark Knight". Now that Gyllenhaal has been added does this mean that "Rachel Dawes" will be sticking around for a third movie as well?
