Spider-Man The Musical

ICv2 is reporting that the long talked about "Spider-Man: The Musical" may finally be coming the stage, originally pitched back in 2004, the cast will include roles for Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Mary Jane, Norman Osborn/Green Goblin, J. Jonah Jameson, a woman who appears in many different forms throughout, and a "Geek Chorus" comprised of three teenage boys and one girl who will "meet to ritualistically retell the greatest Spider-Man stories."

Bono and The Edge are still doing the music and Julie Taymor (Lion King) is still set to direct, but Neil Jordan (Crying Game) has been replaced by Glen Berger to write. Marvel Entertainment will produce along with Hello Entertainment/David Garfinkle and Martin McCallum. Casting is set to begin this July.
