For the past couple of years, Sideshow Collectibles has been producing impressive high quality statues and 1/6 scale collector figures, but they have never fully ventured into sexy female statues until now. Sideshow has taken full advantage of the Marvel license and has teamed up with Adam Hughes to capture the incredibly sexy superheroines as part of their Marvel Comiquette Collection.

First in the series, we have none other than the most provocative and risqué female in Marvel Universe, Emma Frost, aka The White Queen. Originally a member of the elite Hellfire Club and recently co-headmaster of the Xavier Institute, Emma Frost has used her telepathic powers for both good and evil.

Packaging: Another excellent job by the package design team at Sideshow. The box art is perfectly arranged and showcases a close-up of the statues most valued assets and up. The back of the box has a full shot of the entire statue with the original concept art sketch by Adam Hughes that inspired the statue. The item itself is very well protected with ample padding sheets and styrofoam tray.

Paint: The paint on the statue is applied flawlessly from the uniform skin tone, facial and eye details to the life-like silky luster of her bustier. The gloves and boots bear an uncanny leathery look which adds even more sex appeal to this remarkable piece.

Sculpt: Although the sculpt on this statue is amazing, it does not look identical to the Adam Hughes illustration. The face especially is the most noticeable as it looks more like Abby Chase from Danger Girl. Regardless of the face likeness, the sculpt and contour of the body as well as the detail on the bustier and cape is excellent.

Assembly: I found this to be a very smooth and simple process. There are two holes on the base for the figure and the cape. The holes were not too tight and not too loose so the pieces fit nice and snug and do not shake or move.

This piece sold out completely by Sideshow Collectibles and is already fetching double its value in the secondary market after just a few weeks! I purchased the piece directly from Sideshow for $124.99 and got the exclusive version which includes a bonus Adam Hughes lithograph. I think that this collaboration between Adam Hughes and Sideshow is a match made in heaven and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for the famous ladies of Marvel. In the meantime, my Emma Frost will be displayed next to an empty spot in my curio eagerly awaiting the arrival of the second statue in the series, Mary Jane.
