City of Heroes Optioned

According to Variety, Tom DeSanto, producer of the live-action Transformers film, has optioned NC Soft's MMORPG City of Heroes for a possible live-action feature film and television series.

DeSanto told Variety he sees the property as a definite twist on the superhero genre. "You haven't seen a big superheroes versus aliens movie, I see this as the next big superhero franchise."
