We first told you about the direct to DVD Superman Doomsday animated movie (due into stores Sept. 18th) back in March, today ICv2.com has reported that the DVD case will feature a cover that provides three iconic images to illustrate the saga of the Man of Steel's demise and resurrection starting with a Superman symbol that drips blood. The symbol rotates and drips more blood before Superman crashes through in a dynamic display of his superhuman abilities.
Plus in a bit of exciting news for Superman fans that will be attending the upcoming San Diego Comic Con, Warner Home Video will be holding a special screening on Thursday July 26th at 8:30 pm in Ballroom 20.
The complete 70+ minute movie will be shown along with a panel featuring the film's creators. Superman Doomsday features the voices of Adam Baldwin (Firefly, Serenity) as Superman, Anne Heche (Men In Trees) as Lois Lane, and James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as Lex Luthor, and is rated PG-13.
