Takara first released Batman as part of the new Microman Micro Action Series in April of 2004. It was a big change to have a licensed US character in the popular Microman line. Shortly after the success of this Batman, Takara released a new 2-pack with Batgirl and a repainted Batman, and a single-carded Catwoman in September of 2004. The characters in this series were based upon their appearances in the comic books.
