Marvel took last summer by storm with their World War Hulk storyline, which debuted and sold-out its first issue in June. In hopes of kicking off 2008 with similar success, they will be releasing the collected series into two different books early next year.

The 96-page World War Hulk: Gamma Corps trade paperback will hit retail in early 2008 and include World War Hulk: Gamma Corps#1-4. Later, Marvel will release Hulk: World War Hulk, which will include World War Hulk Prologue, World War Hulk #1-#5, and Incredible Hulk #109, in a 336-page hardcover. The books will retail at $10.99 and $24.99, respectively.

Given this news, figure fans can expect the Marvel Legends Hulk figures we previewed HERE to be released in early 2008 as a tie-in to the TPB and hardcover releases. Hasbro is already doing this with their Spider-man and Fantastic Four legends, releasing each of those waves in conjunction with their respective DVD releases this fall and winter.
