Following their highly successful runs with Civil War and World War Hulk, Marvel comics will begin a new, universe-spanning mini-series in spring of 2008 called, "Secret Invasion". Like Civil War, Invasion will stand on its own but also connect to the monthly stories of some of its central characters. Details are scarce at present, but writer Brian Michael Bendis has confirmed that the shape-shifter alien race of Skrulls will play a significant role and the events of Secret Invasion will alter the landscape of the Marvel Universe.
