Mattel continues their Q & A program with another round. If your question wasn't answered this time, be sure to get it in by posting it in our FORUMS.

SuperHeroTimes.com: At SDCC, the Mattel team told audience members that 5 waves of DC Universe: Classics would be released in 2008. Can you tell us how many unique characters and variants are currently planned and does this include Mattel's "The Dark Knight" figures or are they a separate line entirely?

Mattel: Exactly how many variants will be in our DCUC line for 2008 has yet to be decided. We are still working on adding more and refining those already planned to give collectors the best figures possible. Our 6" Dark Knight line, while in scale and sculpted by the Four Horsemen, is not related to our DCUC line.

SuperHeroTimes.com: Will there be any retailer exclusives for the DC Universe: Classics line in 2007 or will Mattel keep everything spread across both the mass market and the specialty market?

Mattel: Details about retailer exclusives are still being cooked up. Once we have something to announce we will be sure to let fans know.

SuperHeroTimes.com: Can fans expect to see any role play items under the DC Universe banner? I know adults who'd love to get their hands on a role play Green Arrow's Bow and Arrow, Green Lantern's Lantern or Darkseid voice changer with light-up eyes...

Mattel: For 2008 we are excited to offer a variety of role play items for the Dark Knight movie line. As for the rest of the DC Universe, only time will tell. Some great ideas however!

SuperHeroTimes.com: For those fans that missed Man-Bat at SDCC, will another repainted Man-Bat see release?

Mattel: Not anytime soon. If we do re-release Dr Langstrom, it will be after a few years have passed so that the Comic Con version remains special.

SuperHeroTimes.com Any hope of getting non-comic based characters in the DC Universe: Classics Line like Batman Beyond, Clock King, The Phantasm, Movie Riddler, Movie Catwoman, etc.?

Mattel: Yup. These characters are on the table. Just when and where they will show up remains to be seen.
