Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has confirmed that he will portray the conflicted DC character, Black Adam in the upcoming Shazam! film. The Rock took the roll based on feedback from fans, who said he would be better suited to the darker character than Captain Marvel. The film is set to begin shooting before the end of the year and, at present, has not been affected by the current strike in Hollywood.
