Heath Ledger has been one of the most talked about actors in the world thanks to his upcoming role in The Dark Knight, wherein he will play Batman's arch nemesis, the Clown Prince of Crime, Joker. The focused actor was hand picked by Batman Begins director, Chris Nolan; and while reception from the internet community has been uncertain, fans can rest assured that Ledger is very engaged in the role.

"For the Joker I locked myself away in a hotel room for six weeks," Ledger tells online entertainment site, IESB about his roll. "I just formulated a voice and a posture and found a real psychology behind the Joker. I really put a lot of work into it." He also went on to say that the movie "far exceeded my expectations". The Dark Knight is arguably the most anticipated movie of 2008, and once the marketing machine begins churning out trailers and commercials, fans will get to see Ledger in action.
