The upcoming Marvel Studios production, THOR, has been put on hold due to the WGA Strike currently taking place in Hollywood. Director Matthew Vaughn (Stardust) has confirmed that the strike has forced Marvel to halt production, which is ironic considering the director's desire to shoot the film in the UK, over 3,000 miles from Tinseltown. Pressure for him to remain stateside for the $100 million Marvel epic is strong, but Vaughn is determined to use the resources of his home soil in Britain for the production. Given this intention, it will be interesting to see if Vaughn is able to get his wish or be replaced by a new director. Only time will tell, and you can be sure to catch updates with us here, at Super Hero Times.
