Comic Book Resources recently caught up with Sam Raimi and his buddy Rob Tapert to discuss a varitey of projects, key among them the next sequel to the monumentally successful Spider-man series.

Sam had plenty to say about the sequel but has placed the ball in the hands of production company Sony Pictures. He has not confirmed if he will direct, but Raimi plans to work alongside the writer on the screenplay following the writer's strike. As far as connections to the first trilogy, Raimi admits that "anything's possible", but it's the writer's decision at present. For Raimi's full responses and detail, check out the full manuscript at the link above.
