Mattel continues their Q & A program with another round. If your question wasn't answered this time, be sure to get it in by posting it in our FORUMS.
SuperHeroTimes.com: What will be the standard POA (point of articulation) count for the DCU:Classics figures, and will it differ from character to character?
Mattel: There is no standard, but figures will have at least 16 to 20 POAs. Figures that require more articulation will get extra joints. But we are also aware of over-articulating a figure which tends to make them collapse on themselves when posed on a shelf. In the end, each character is evaluated and an appropriate amount of articulation is assigned.
SuperHeroTimes.com: When can fans expect to see DCU: Fighting Figures to begin popping up on shelves?
Mattel: January 1st 2008.
SuperHeroTimes.com: What will Mattel be doing to get children into this collector-targeted line?
Mattel: We will have extensive advertising and promotional campaigns aimed at adult collectors and kids as well as special promotions at 2008 conventions.
SuperHeroTimes.com: Has Mattel been receiving alot of fan feedback; and if so, how has the fan reaction been?
Mattel: Fan reaction has been tremendously positive and we couldn’t be happier with the way fans have been embracing a toy line that isn’t even at market yet!
SuperHeroTimes.com Will the Batman/Superman focused DC Superheroes line stop shipping in 08, or might we still see figures from the last few waves still hitting shelves in the new year?
Mattel: Figures from the last few waves will likely continue to trickle in, but the main focus and the new product will be in the DC Universe Classics lines.
