It's no secret that Marvel is putting loads of money behind the upcoming film, Iron Man, but news hit the web today that their marketing is going further than many expected. Marvel is going to drop an ad for the film during the Super Bowl on February 3rd, paying anywhere from $2.7 to $3 million for the airtime. Studios tend to advertise only their biggest tentpole projects for the Super Bowl, and fans should be encouraged Marvel has put Iron Man on such a pedestal. Iron Man is the first picture being financed directly by Marvel Studios.
