At this year's ShoWest conference in Vegas,
Iron Man star
Robert Downey Jr. will be honored as male star of the year. The award will be given to the veteran actor at a gala on March 13. Downey has three major motion pictures hitting theatres this year, including
Iron Man,
Tropic Thunder, and
The Soloist.
Iron Man will be released on May 2, 2008.
