Marvel Studios continues the marketing blitz for Iron Man with two new posters, each featuring not only Marvel's tin man but many other characters in the movie as well. Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr.; Pepper Pots played by Gwenneth Paltrow; Obadiah Stane played by Jeff Bridges; and Jim Rhodes, played by Terrance Howard, are now being incorporated into the print marketing campaign, and each of them looks fantastic. Downey's Stark is particularly resonant to his comic book counterpart, but the others look good as well. The uniformed Howard, as well as the jets/choppers, advertise a militaristic component to the film's action, while Bridges' dark and foreboding Stane offers intrigue as well.

For those who don't like the look of either poster, fear not; for other previously released "Iron-Man-focused" posters or banners will still most likely be up at your local cineplex. Studios usually release additional "actor heavy" artwork like these posters not for the die-hard fans but for the casual movie viewer who may not know anything of Iron Man or his comic book roots but may like a given actor in the movie. Iron Man, directed by Jon Favreau (Elf, Zathura), will be released on May 2, 2008.
