Blasting off from the halls of Funko is the new, highly-detailed Iron Man Wacky Wobbler, inspired by the feature film coming May 2, 2008. Not to be confused with their many comic releases, the movie-based Iron Man features unique packaging and a base unlike any other Marvel Wacky Wobbler on the market!
The aforementioned packaging for the Iron Man Wobbler features promo design artwork similar to that on the Hulk Wobbler, but Shellhead’s package features hues of red as opposed to green. The box also has promo art of the Iron Man character from the film on each side, with a brief description of him on the back. The packaging is fine for display, with the figure in full view.
Once Iron Man blasts off from the box to your shelf, he’s a fantastic little collectible. Posed with his repulsor beam at the ready, the Iron Man Wacky Wobbler has a detailed sculpt, particularly given the specific design of the movie armor. The “wacky wobbling” feature of the collectible is fun and works well.
Iron Man features fantastic paint deco, with crisp red and gold applications throughout the piece. The figure shows no discoloration and looks great.
One of the biggest highlights of the collectible is the gold base. The reflective, “gold” base looks fantastic and really stands out, making this Iron Man not only unique among the other Wacky Wobblers, but also eye-catching in and of himself. This is not to say that he cannot be displayed with the others, as he does contrast very well with the other big Marvel Movie Wobbler, Hulk.
At a price point of $14.99, this Movie Iron Man Wacky Wobbler is a great little collectible for shelf or desktop display. The item is eye-catching thanks to its intense detail and bright base, and he is another fantastic addition to Funko’s Wacky Wobbler line!
