Planetwide Media and its MashON Platform, together with the New York Comic Con organizers today announced the launch of the MashON: New York Comic Con 2008 Contest, which begins on April 18, 2008. Participants will be able to submit a four panel user-generated comic entry utilizing digital photos from their own 2008 New York Comic Con experience.
Participants can visit www.MashON.com/NYCC and register for a FREE account to create their MashON NYCC 2008 Contest submission. Users can create their MashON: NYCC comics by uploading four of their personal digital photos taken during their 2008 New York Comic Con experience. Users can then plan out a four panel comic story using the available speech bubbles and captions. Once users have completed their personalized creations, they can submit and post the final product to the contest gallery, MySpace, Facebook, or other social networks to share with family and friends. The content of the comic can be of just about anything! All entries and more details can be viewed at www.NYComicCon.com.
The contest will officially start at 12:01 a.m. PDT on Friday, April 18, 2008 and run through 11:59 p.m. PDT on Thursday, May 8, 2008. All entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. PDT on Thursday, May 8, 2008. Winners will be announced no later than Friday, May 23, 2008, and the overall grand prize winner will win $1,000 in cash.
