Wizard World Chicago is ramping up to be a major event as today they announced that many of DC Comics influential and fan-favorite writers and artists will be on hand to meet and greet all their fans!
Writers on hand will be Geoff Johns (Action Comics, JSA, and Green Lantern), Alan Burnett (the animated Batman Gotham Knight), Bruce Timm (Batman Gotham Knight), Brian Azzarello (100 Bullets, Batman Gotham Knight) and Sean McKeever (Countdown and Teen Titans). They are responsible for producing some of the most exciting and important events in the DC Universe.
Artists on hand will be Ethan Van Sciver (Green Lantern), Tony Daniel (Batman), Shane Davis (Superman/Batman), Jim Calafiore (Gotham: Underground), Aaron Lopresti (Wonder Woman), Art Baltazar (Tiny Titans) and Mike Norton (Green Arrow/Black Canary). They the diverse artistic roster DC has assembled to produce their monthly titles.
This is in addition to the already announced premiere of Batman: Gotham Knight. The direct-to-DVD release is comprised of six animated short films that fill in the gap between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Creators Alan Burnett, Bruce Timm and Brian Azzarello will be on hand for the premiere and its accompanying panel.
Wizard World returns to The Donald E. Stephens Convention Center on June 26-29 this year.
