Mattel continues their Q & A program with the first round for June. Read on...

SUPERHEROTIMES: Are there any plans to expand the popular Batman Movie Masters line beyond the initial wave?

MATTEL: We do have big plans for the Movie Masters line which we will be revealing at San Diego Comic-Con.

SUPES: When can fans expect to see a Superman Movie Masters line?

MATTEL: We’ll have the latest news on the Movie Masters line at San Diego Comic-Con this July 23-27.

SUPES: What is the general availability of the variant figures in the DCU Classics waves and did the variant Penguin from the first series ever see retail?

MATTEL: The variants range from 10% - 50% depending on the figure. There was never a variant Penguin announced or made. We did announce a variant of Red Tornado and that figure is still on hold waiting to be released.

SUPES: With the popularity of DCU Classics established, are there any plans to make larger, 12" versions of any of the DCU Classics characters?

MATTEL: Yes. We will reveal the next figures at San Diego Comic-Con.

SUPES: When can collectors expect to see a 12" version of the Dark Knight Movie Masters Joker figure?

MATTEL: We will not be producing a 12 inch version of the movie Joker figure at this time.

SUPES: Beyond the Batman Beyond figure, what other cartoon or animation-based figures can collectors expect to see included in the DCU Classics line and are there any plans to make figures based on the Batman: Gotham Knight anime?

MATTEL: The DCU Classics line will mostly focus on the comic book versions of characters. Batman: Gotham Knight figures have a better chance of showing up in other lines such as Infinite Heroes.
